Located inside Riverfront Stadium, home of the Wichita Wind Surge, the Wichita Baseball Museum celebrates the rich history of baseball in Kansas. The Gardner Design team worked closely with the MiLB team management and local architecture firms to bring the museum to life. The museum features a curated array of historical artifacts showcasing former players and teams in Wichita, including the all-Black Monrovians and the National Baseball Congress (NBC), along with preserved pieces of Lawrence-Dumont Stadium. Leroy “Satchel” Paige (back row, third from left), pictured here with the 1932 Pittsburgh Crawfords, led his Bismarck, ND team to victory three years later in the first National Baseball Congress, held in Wichita. Joe Wilhoit (above) holds the longest hitting streak in baseball history with 69 games, while playing for the Wichita Jobbers of the Western League.TeamCreative Director: Bill Gardner Art Director: Adam Anderson Designer: Michael Penda
